Application environment
LServerAdmin application environment is dialog based using ncurses. This may be not so modern looking, but after using it for a while, it can be rather fast.
Some tips are shown below:
| [t1] | Use keyboard and not mouse to navigate through the application. Although mouse can be used in most dialogs, it is not fast or user friendly in ncurses environment. |
| [t2] | Use up and down arrows and not TAB, to move between fields in an input dialog. |
| [t3] | Use TAB to switch from input fields to OK or Cancel/Return buttons. |
| [t4] | Press SPACE to select/unselect an option in a radio button dialog or a multi selection dialog. |
| [t5] | Press ESC to cancel and return from any dialog or menu. |
| [t6] | Press the number or the first letter of a menu item (highlighted red), to move quickly to a menu. |
| [t7] | In a folder selection dialog. Select .. ^ : to we go to the parent folder. Select This Folder: to choose the folder we are inside and finish browsing. Press the first letter of a folder one or more times, to select it. |
