Embeded Groups
==============

Introduction
------------

Some basic group types are embeded in LServerAdmin application.

.. _Business Users or Teachers:

Business Users [BE]_ or Teachers [SE]_
--------------------------------------

Users of this group type have more rights than :ref:`Simple Users`, for LServerAdmin application and client OSs.

* **LServerAdmin** : They can be added to :ref:`LServerAdmin Access` Groups.
* **Linux Client OS** : They have basic user rights.
* **Windows Client OS** : They can be added to :ref:`Windows Administrators` access group.
* **Windows Network Folders** : *public* and *shared* : Read / Write Permissions. See :ref:`Samba Folder Permissions` 
* **Italc** [SE]_ : They can be added as Italc Administrators and run Italc from server or from teacher's client PCs.


.. _Simple Users:

Simple Users
------------

Users of this group type have restricted rights. 

* **LServerAdmin** : No access
* **Linux Client OS** : They have basic user rights.
* **Windows Client OS** : They have basic user rights.
* **Windows Network Folders** : *public* : Read Only. *shared* : No permissions. See :ref:`Samba Folder Permissions`

.. note:: Any user manually added in Linux OS (e.g. with adduser command) is shown in LServerAdmin as being a simple user. However he may not be a Windows Network User. To be sure it can login to Windows clients, it has to be explicitely added from LServerAdmin.

Students [SE]_
--------------

**Students** Group is equivalent to **Simple Users** Group as far as rights are concerned. See :ref:`Simple Users` Group for details.
